Canvas Basics: Course Set Up & Organization (Elementary)

This course has been  designed to help you become familiar with the Canvas learning management system, which is widely used in educational institutions around the world, including Canyons School District. The course covers the fundamentals of Canvas, including how to create and manage your account settings and notifications. You will learn how to set up a basic course and organize it effectively to make it easy for your students to navigate. Additionally, this course will cover file management and how to keep your course content organized and easily accessible.

The course is structured into eight modules, each containing several lessons that will guide you through the process of creating and managing your course.  By the end of this course, you will have a solid foundation in using Canvas to manage your courses effectively. Whether you are a new teacher or an experienced instructor looking to enhance your skills, this course will help you become more proficient in using Canvas for your teaching needs.

Note: Teachers new to Canyons School District can receive a $50 stipend in addition to the 0.5 USBE credits if completed by Oct. 20, 2024.
