Elementary Social Studies Workshop: Inquiry and Lesson and Implementation

This professional learning session supports Canyons elementary educators in deepening content knowledge, exploring document-based inquiry, and integrating social studies into daily instruction. Participants will engage in hands-on training, review instructional resources, and serve as site ambassadors to support implementation of new grade-level social studies lessons across schools.

Teachers may choose to attend one full-day training at the Canyons District Office on either November 3, 2025 or March 31, 2026. A substitute and lunch will be provided. Participants earn 0.5 USBE credit for the full-day session and may earn an additional optional 0.5 credit for implementing a lesson, sharing feedback, and/or engaging in follow-up through a coaching cycle, peer observation, or video reflection.
