Verified: Deepening News and Media Literacy in the Classroom

Join us for Verified, a book study and professional learning opportunity for educators interested in strengthening their news and media literacy instruction. Using Verified by Sam Wineburg and Mike Caulfield as our guides, we’ll explore practical strategies to help students critically evaluate online information. This asynchronous course includes four assignments throughout the 2025–2026 school year, where participants will apply their learning to classroom practice and share insights with colleagues.

Participants will receive a copy of the book and a $100 stipend and .5 USBE for full participation.
